SOMETHING I LEARNT WITH YOU
I wanted to write you.
I wanted to brag about what I learned from you.
What I learned being with you.
I just wanted for you to know that being with you was gold.
I learnt how to write letters again.
How to leave cute little notes by the refrigerator door, your work desk, and in your pocket.
I learned that I could place you first and still be myself.
I learned how to listen, how to wait, how to trust what you say.
I learned all that you are and how I am made.
I learned that forehead kisses were the best.
Mostly when you give them.
I learned love.
Soft kisses on the lips.
Goofy messages.
Heartfelt laughter.
I can’t believe those meal you made.
The dishes weren’t perfect but you taught me to love them anyways.
You taught me love and I loved it with you.
I loved staying up late at night doing those work review.
I loved the gossip about those from your workplace.
I loved the surprises, I loved how you listened.
I learned from you how the little things matters.
Those spontaneous moments, me and you by the road side faking an accident.
How you laugh when I catch you taking too deep a look at me.
I learned how to boldly say “you are mine”.
With you, I learned love just how it was formed.
I learned how to fake a workout session after two bowls of staple food.
I can’t believe we faked a pregnancy and labor.
We became babies and made plans to have some.
I learned many times than once, how to sacrifice and stay up.
I taught you well, you taught me too.
Thoughts of you still stays here.
I learned goofy images, nice texts, karaoke and memes.
I learned with you, love, just how it was made.
And I wanted to make sure you know.
I learned from you, the best of the best.
