FORGIVE
I admit that second chances are hard for me to give.
What do you mean you didn’t mean to hurt or break me?
That what you did to me was a mistake you didn’t intend?
Putting my heart, emotions and vulnerability at risk like that because somehow you woke up and didn’t want to do what we were doing anymore.
It’s even harder to give a second chance when you didn’t find the decency to properly end the first.
You mean I am left to figure out what your words meant and that your smile didn’t feel the same and that you are here but not here!
That’s a crazy thing to do
That’s a bad way of breaking people.
That’s why everyday
I am forced to look at God again
And wonder why He loves me so after I broke His heart because 70x7 is a bit too much to get hurt and jabbed.
But this Man of Galilee didn’t mind? He still laid his life. Now that’s who I should be like.
“Jesus answered him, “I say to you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven.”
Matthew 18:22 AMP
