To Live (r)

I hope that as a man, in your attempt to strike a balance between getting money and gaining reputation, you would find the courage to understand that even emotions deserves partnership and to deny your emotions doesn’t mean strength.

I hope that in following the narratives of society; that a man needs money before he’d find a good woman, you will gather the strength to understand that society designed that, I pray that your eyes of understanding be opened so that you will find a balance between getting finances, getting recognition and letting yourself feel emotions without inputting the toxicity that society considers masculinity.

I pray God helps you understand that as generation transitions, so should desires and narratives.

The normalcy of society isn’t always right. I pray you gather the strength to find what is right for you.

As a woman striking to win in terms of career, academics and finances, I pray that your focus would consist of reality, not the narratives of society.

I hope that when the time comes, you wouldn’t fall into the state of staying to strong that you deny yourself of the emotions attached to a woman.

I hope that in finding yourself and living, you won’t put on an attitude that hinders the essence of being a woman.

Because, baby, you are strong. I pray that in finding identity, you would find the courage to heal, you will find the strength to allow  people in.

As youths, I pray that we understand that the season is transitioning, so are narratives and desires.

May we gather the courage to find purpose and what works for us. May we submit our brokenness so they won’t hinder us.

As humans, I pray that we disown the narrative of not needing anybody. I pray that we find the courage to heal and understand seasons. I pray it for myself and for you, may we find satisfaction in God’s design and pattern for us.

May we not be so broken that we become one of those who breaks humanity. May we understand that the world is a people’s thing, may we live it as such.

Let your pains heal baby. I pray you find the courage to seek God’s will.

May we find the courage to forgive. The strength to live right, the grace to heal. May we not chase after vanity.

May we understand humanity. Only one thing stays the same: God.

God from age to age, though the earth might pass away, you remain the same. Season might change, you never do.

Courage to differ, to dare, to bring newness without despair.

❤️Olu. I hope it makes sense
