The Season Of Your Career

Whether you are navigating a new career path, waiting for your big career change, or wondering when all your work would pay off, this guide is for you! 

As you read, I’d like you to know that I share this mostly from exprience - that of myself and those around me, and with an insight into the term “time and chances”, also known as season! 

I am convinced that there is time and season in careers; either the field you’ve chosen to work for a long time or short term. I do a lot of things, I have my hands running always and sometimes, I see how different skills produces different results and outcomes. It brightened my understanding of The Season Of Careers! 

Note, I do not share this so you can agree with all that I say, but that you are able to reason and re navigate, if necessary.

The 1st season I believe is the seed sorting, just like when a farmer looks to plan, they do not mix avocado with corn seeds! Even if they do, they plant them on different fields! Have you sorted your seeds? Have you picked the field you’d like to major in! Certainly, it would differ from those around you. Right? 

The Soil, your field! You’ve picked your seed, right? Where do you plan to grow it? Who do you look serve? Who are your target audience, competitors, contemporaries? Narrowing down! 

It gets even interesting! You’ve got your seeds, your field-soil, you need to clear it up a little, make it clean for this new purpose. Run the research, find out thing, why? How? What? 

The planting, that’s the main deal! Is it content, design, management? Get it out! Build your brand! It would be a struggle, holes would’ve dug, you need axes, tractor, a little help sometimes - courses, ideas from others, you would make mistakes! Just get it out! You learn your weaknesses and strengths here! 

The watering, oh, it gets crazy here! Because you’ve got to know the right amount of water and sun to expose your plant to! Is it cold emailing, contract, full time, etc! How deeply do you want to keep this going? How much of your time do you want to give to this? 

The Waiting! It doesn’t look like that big break is coming soon! Now you are thinking of giving it up and trying another thing because you’ve got this going for a while and you see no results! Self doubt, tears into the night or so. 

And it’s crazy because somehow, you could see your neighbor- harvesting! (Someone in the same field as yourself is booming, you might have even started the same time - but remember your soil is different or so)! Give it all it takes! Preserve your plants! Keep working! Oh, it gets crazier! Before it goes good!

The Harvest; where you are seen, heard and acknowledged. One gig, one job, one referral changes it all! There, the completion of a season! But what happens after The Harvest? Does it last forever?
