I AM ENOUGH

I'm enough, like an iroko tree,

I stand strong and tall,

Embracing my flaws, eating them raw,

Facing my trials and speaking in tongues.

For my fears, I cast and bind.

I gaze at my pain and see my worth,

Like a hungry lion, I prey,

Feeding my belly and nurturing my soul,

Celebrating my existence in its entirety.

Life has swept me off my feet several times,

Taken my happiness and left me in solitude,

Like a thief that comes in the night and leaves before dawn,

Like a tsunami that brings the whole city down,

But I still pick myself amidst the ebbs and flows,

Dispelling my fears, instilling my hopes.

I am my own sanctuary, my safe space,

I am the melody my songs need,

I am the savior of my own being,

I am the love my soul seeks,

I am the only DJ that can make my beat,

Every beat, a dance of resilience,

Symphony of strength,

With tender care, I tend to my needs,

Nourishing my spirit and cleansing my soul.

Look into the mirror and see how great you look,

Look deep into the sea and tell me what you see,

Be the sea of your life, let the surface speak,

Let strength breed, while flaw breathes.
