EMBRACE YOURSELF

I find peace in my own space,

I find love in my own skin,

Black is beautiful, do not sin,

Do not change to be seen,

Do not trade your happiness for people who will never see.

The world will always be dark, choose your light,

People will tell you what to do, build your path,

Each breath you take, let it thrive,

Like a seed that grows and now ripens.

I honor my journey and follow the process,

I embrace my imperfections,

From my flaws, I find perfection,

For in self-love lies true affection.

I still cry sometimes,

I still wander with doubt,

Like an orphan from house to house,

With every stumble, every fall, I still rise,

Celebrating my wins, small and big.

I am a collection of poems, penned with care,

Some chapters will make you smile while you shed tears,

I am the work of art that can't walk,

Like Ivar of Vikings I hold my head so high,

On my wheel, I create my will,

On my wheel, the world crawls like an ailing toad.

Embrace yourself and dance to the tune,

Open your ears and listen to the tone,

Live your life and feel at home,

Look at the sky and see the birds,

Listen attentively to the toads,

They are living their life, not as they are told.
