I knew it was you
I knew it was you who kissed me into the new year; I felt the soft lips and the chilling cologne.
It was you who took me on my first dance; I could sense the dress that you bought, it was beautiful, blue and it has pearls.
It was you I had my first dance with; the beautiful moves to the blues in the school hall.
It was you who unhooked my clips, and I could feel your tongue rub through my bosom; it was good and I wanted more just as you did.
I knew it was you who was into me so much that you kept me from the world; to you, it was love and it couldn’t hurt.
It was you who pushed me off the railings; I heard your thin voice as it hummed when you came towards me.
It was you who stabbed me, it was you who shore the light in my face as I drove from the house into the street; it was late at night, it was you I was coming to see.
I knew it was you who loved me too much, so you scarred me to keep me from the rest of the world.
I knew it was you who took my sight and my ability to walk. I knew.
