Till death do us part
As I got ready to leave, my sight got blurry as my eyes met with yours.
I was saying goodbye for ages, I was leaving to the grave.
Smile baby, I said slowly as my eyes began to shut.
When you had no expression, the other part of my body that could feel you, held you tightly; my palms cliched tightly to yours.
I love the journey with you, I said slowly as my soul began to depart from the world, and when I saw your grin, the beat from my heart stopped.
We fulfilled our vows; to smile to the end of time. 62 of journeying with you, at 87, I shut my eyes, I went to Heaven to wait on you.
Three months later, I saw your soul in a mansion, I did recognized you, once again, you had the wide grin...
I heard your vivid whispers; I couldn’t live long without you.
The way that you sole reminded me of when I first met you. Now in Heaven, this has been the hope I looked forward to.
For when we lived, we were void and troubled. Now, we shall wept no more.
There is a Heaven by Oluwafunke Ajoba.
To the one I shall forever love.
