THANKSGIVING
An article on Thanksgiving.
Extracted from Pastor Wole Adesanya's message on Gratitude; The right attitude.
I had thoughts running through my mind when I was told to raise my hands to say thank you to Christ for every time. How can I say thank you for all the things I wanted but never got?
How can I be grateful for what never worked?
How am I to say thank you when I know it has been a battle?
Days that I felt pains, nights of tears and shame, memories that I cannot erase, moments that brings aches. A thank you for struggle?. No, I said.
Just in the midst of my thoughts, I felt a touch ..... I felt like I had more than enough.
How come I was negative at first?
Why wasn't I seeing the days I was rescued, moments that felt so good.
The days my table was full, times I had family. Why was I being an ingrate?
I remembered that day, yes, that day on the cross he took my sins away and washed me with His Blood, isn't that more than enough?
I totally forgot that gratitude gives me altitude.
I ought to be grateful for what I have and because God is Good, far beyond expression.
As I opened my mouth to sing His praise, I entered His Presence and I felt him manifesting, I recognized Mercy, I took charge of the opportunity; I opened my heart, I aligned with His intentions and I saw so much.
I saw Zion,
I saw new things,
I saw myself leaving The Prison to move to Palace.
I saw myself leaving the struggle,
Tapping to Grace.
I began to see what He sees,
Hear what He says,
I knew I was going to start to do what He does.
New things...
Destiny.....
Purpose.....
And I cried in my heart,
I began to recall critics and I realized I needed it to move on.
I felt it all working for my good.
And I screamed, Lord I'm grateful.
And He said
It will be brand new for I will connect you.
People would speak of you.
Favor will follow you.
And when people say there is a casting down, I would say there is a lifting up.
For I would surround you with people that will move you.
Like the butler help moved Joseph,
Like Johnathan moved David.
I will build you because you are grateful.
And I screamed thank you, The Lord said It is well with you.
Gratitude has elevated you.
And I saw it all happen, change that healed, miracle that wouldn't seize, I screamed with a grateful heart THANK YOU FATHER. Thank you.

N.B Gratitude keeps you scaling on a higher altitude.
When you fail to say thank you, your level deduces.
