NIGERIA
*NIGERIA*
EXTRACTED FROM FAL'S SONG ON *THIS IS NIGERIA*.
Every criticism thrown to the part of those working right.
We open our eyes and watch people die, every part of the north is bombed until it is desolate. In the south the talents are left to die, because this is Nigeria.
The country where we like the wrongs, laugh over the spoils. We don't know how to pick up, we'd rather throw words.
Nigeria: We would critize the 18year old girl who leaves the pregnancy that was the result of rape, we will worship the slay queen that is made of illegal pays.
The yahoo boys we would always praise, knowing that they are made by the blood of some females, the poops of their families and the sweat of other individuals.
Some fake scholars would say the yahoo boys are retrieving our long lost properties, and it got me wondering if our ancestors are asking for it.
This is Nigeria; The confused country, we like the scream and twitter dramas. Nigeria, The police would watch the crowd lynch an innocent man, yet the force would hold guns and be glad over #50, it is no surprise for the person in charge screams transmission at the sight of the mic, a speech that is to be viewed world wide.
The so called leaders would rathers build statues of people that shouldn't be regarded, they would empower the youths with the cobbler packs and tricycles.
I am left in awe of the country i was birthed.
This is Nigeria, a country with gift, yet everything is hard because the leaders are holding the gifts, national rights, ability to lead has turned hereditary. Nigeria; if you are not connected, don't speak for if you do your voice will be seized.
We encourage the crime, we can't even fight for our punches can't touch a fly.
The one that raises more alarm are our spiritual leaders watching things go this bad, some encourages the bad for they ain't Ordained by Most High.
We no longer understand for we live by the news of the media, the models we have portays the wrong and say it is right.
Finances are made to be harder so parents struggle hard, they no longer watch the family so children go whack. Society teaches them gayism and violence, we now live in a Nigeria where morals isn't around.
We watch a man beat his woman and say he is the head of the house, Well God is the Head of Everything and He yet never beats you like that.
Children can't go to school on time because of the nonsense jamb programme, and dreams just die for there is no support in Nigeria.
Maybe it is time to raise our voice and no longer dwell in the past, it is time to correct our wrongs from the inside, parents correct your wards, watch your words and teach morals back.
Let's seek God first not the man.
ALLOW transformation start from inside.
I know it is really hard but don't hit your woman, stand on your right and give no one bribe.
Instead of correcting english, mentor a child. If you see a need, please lend a helping hand.
Speak up if you are a rape victim, let's help you fight.
Aunties, stop selling your body, nah temple you dey defile.
Uncles, i know the honest hustle is hard but nah your own money dey last.
Let's start working in unity, that the nation may grow. This way, God will flush out all that is holding His Plans, those candidates whose plans ain't right.
COME ON NIGERIANS, it is time to ARISE.
Stop to dey critize, ogha open your eyes.
Our voices can be heard if we start now, if we vote right, if we start to pray for the nation while we do what is right.
*THIS IS NIGERIA, OUR OWN DEAR NATIVE LAND, LET OUR FLAG BE A SYMBOL, LET'S GIVE A BANNER WITHOUT STAIN.
