HOOD EXTRACT

A bit of sound excorted with shout. Inside the distance, there is time.

In the smile, there is anger.

Something that started a day I can't remember.

The streets without lights, just the voice of murderers and rapist, the smell of cracks and weed.

The darkness was more on the inside, for every race ran came with critizism.

Every unsaid words came with terrible actions. *THE HOOD BUILT ME*.

I was defined by the crack and weed, the seed of the street.

I was raped the very night i clocked 16; nothing came as gain.

I was wrong and down from the beginning, the world didn't even see or listen.

Society parted into two; i grew on the part that showed me blood every minute, the notorious people surrounded me.

I had a pen knife, i got one the very day my brother was killed in the street battles. *I grew in the hood*, i watched my father define the meaning of a man by beating my mother to coma.

I watched her recover by taking needles to get high.

It wasn't just me for hood was building an army; *Hood starts by crippling the spirituality in families*

Bringing faults while it potrays freedom as reality, Morals thereby stops being taught.
